Area and Things To Do: It's about 1/4 mile to Lake Michigan and a bit farther to reach the Muskegon Channel. In 5-15 minutes you can reach most everything to enjoy -- beaches, boats and a submarine to tour, festivals, golf courses, music, biking trail, good food, naiscent little shops, downtown, historic architecture, and live theater and symphony orchestra in season. Only 13 miles (28 minutes) to spend the day at MICHIGAN'S ADVENTURE & WATER PARK (like Six Flags) and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.

----- Sunbathe during the day, walk the paved boardwalk along Pere Marquette Park beach minutes from the cottage. (5 minutes)

----- Watch sailboats and freighters by day and a beautiful sunset at night - that's late night, about 10 pm! (5 minutes)

----- Tour USS Silversides, a WWII submarine (5 minutes).

----- Kayak on the Muskegon River or ride bumper cars at Putters Creek on Causeway (15 minutes)

----- Cross Lake Michigan and visit Milwaukee on Lake Express Ferry (5 minutes).
