Deer Pointe Lodge has a upscale cabin atmosphere. You are high up on the side of a mountain and it feels as if you are in a Swiss family Robinson-style tree house. It's all on one level (no dealing with hot upstairs or cold downstairs) with 1780 square feet. You will enjoy the outdoor Hot Tub with its breath taking view of Mt. LeConte, the third highest peak in the Smokies with an elevation of 6,593 ft. or a soothing evening under the stars. Deer Pointe Lodge is what you expect in a Smoky Mountain experience.
OberGatlinburg Ski Slopes are 2 minutes away and it's a great place for family fun in the summer too. Only 7 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg entertainment and dining from casual to gourmet and the Smoky Mountain National Park with hiking trails and breath-taking waterfalls to horseback riding and biking in Cades Cove. Pigeon Forge is right next to Gatlinburg where Dollywood, shopping, dining and other attractions are located. The closest airport is in Knoxville, TN.
The cabin offers four master suites, two with Jacuzzi tubs, two with grotto showers for two. The kitchen is fully stocked along with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops where one can prepare Belgian waffles, burgers right off the charcoal grill or a gourmet meal. The pool table is fun for all and WIFI is also provided.
Community Pools are available Memorial Day - Labor Day including tennis courts and a playground for the kiddos.
Since we've gotten a couple 3 star reviews based on this subject, please keep in mind that to get a view like this you do have to drive up a MOUNTAIN. There is a lower drieveway that is almost completely flat but the main driveway is on an incline so if you can't navigate hills this cabin may not be for you.
