While staying in Sevierville, you need to hop in the car and drive to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is just a short drive away and this is an absolute must do, while on your vacation. The park is absolutely gorgeous and it provides plenty to do such as: hiking, camping, fishing, sight seeing and much more. Make sure you take your camera or camcorder, because you will be some amazing pictures or footage. The Smoky Mountains is also home to a wide variety of wildlife. When I have been there, I've seen beer, deer, turkey's and even elk. The whole area is magnificent. There are various paved hiking trails that will allow you to see the various animal and plant species, rock formations and waterfalls! If you take the main road over up and down the mountain you will end up in the Indian Reservation, where there is a whole another list of things to do.
Sevierville features about 3-5 different shopping outlets, allowing you to enjoy a day buying at great values. You can also take a short drive to Pigeon Forge to visit a few other outlet malls. You will find some great deals at either location. There is also a few flea markets in the area.
The southern cooking around the Sevierville Area is fantastic and to top it out off you get huge portions. There is a large selection of pancake/waffle houses, steak restaurants, fresh trout, then you have the normal Outback, Cracker Barrel, etc... Whatever your taste maybe that day, you will have all the food you can handle!
